General Questions
What is Stad 3D?
Stad 3D creates custom 3D-printed models of locations in the Netherlands. Each model is generated from real building data and street layouts, creating an accurate miniature representation of your chosen area.
How accurate are the models?
Our models are based on official 3D BAG building data and BGT street layout data from the Dutch government. This ensures high accuracy for building locations, footprints, and heights. The models represent the real-world geography with impressive detail.
Area Selection
What areas are available?
We support all locations in the Netherlands. You can choose any city, neighbourhood, or street.
Can I rotate or reposition the area?
Yes. In the configurator you can drag the selection area and rotate it freely to get the exact view you want.
What scale options are there?
You can choose any scale in the configurator. A larger scale captures more area but shows less building detail; a smaller scale zooms in on a neighbourhood with more detail per building.
Preview
What does the preview show?
The preview shows everything that will appear on your final print — the exact area, buildings, and layout. The colours and finish will look different from the physical model though; check the product photos for a realistic impression of what you will receive.
Can I choose the colours?
No. The colours are fixed and cannot be customised.
Ordering
Are there shipping costs?
No. Delivery is free on all orders.
What payment methods are accepted?
You can pay with iDEAL, Wero, or credit card.
After Ordering
What happens after I place an order?
We manually review and fine-tune the 3D model for your area, then 3D print it in PLA — printing takes around 12 hours. The model is mounted in a frame and shipped to you. Delivery takes 5-10 business days.
Does the model come with a frame?
Yes. Every model includes a display frame.
Returns & Reviews
What is the return policy?
Custom 3D printed products cannot be returned unless there is a production defect.See our terms and conditions for full details.

Custom Work
Is custom work possible?
